Most memorization apps assume you can already read Arabic script. Most Muslims cannot.
Hafiiz is built the other way round. The transliteration is the primary text, not a footnote — and it follows pronunciation rather than spelling, so ar-raḥmān is written the way it is said instead of the way it is spelled. The Arabic is there when you want it, and there is a path from one to the other.
Every ayah is written in Latin letters that follow the pronunciation, not the spelling — so ar-raḥmān, the way it is actually said. Tap the play button on any ayah to hear it recited.
Tap an ayah’s number when you can recite it. It is written dark on the board. Use Written → Half-washed → Washed to hide the words and test yourself.
Memory decays, so Hafiiz schedules each passage for review. What is slipping turns pale and reappears in your daily queue. Press Begin and it decides what to study.

Review is timed by a forgetting curve, not a calendar. Verses slipping out of reach come back first, so you spend the time where it is actually needed.
Ḥifẓ fails on which ayah comes next, not on the ayah. Hafiiz tests the seams between passages — the joins nothing else rehearses.
Progress can go down. A number that only rises would be lying to you about what you can still recite from memory.
Seven āyāt you already recite every day. Hold them, and the board starts to darken.
